Take A Walk On The Wild Side
Back again with another post for you guys. A few weekends ago I visited Zoo Miami. I feel like my portfolio was in dire need of some fresh new wildlife work. It was a nice day, spent with my little brother. Besides shooting, which is always a plus, it was nice to spend the day with my bro. Quality time is always good.
To spice things up, I challenged myself by using a lens I never use, because I'm not too fond of it. I'm pretty spoiled with my glass so I figured using my old, crappy canon 75-300mm would be a nice challenge for the day. It's not my favorite, but using it as my only lens made me appreciate it a little. it definitely helped to get some nice close up shots of all the animals, and the bokeh wasn't too bad.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with all the shots I got! A visit back is definitely in order, since we still missed about half the exhibits :( I look forward to going back, with a different lens and a new personal challenge.
I had a few strikes of inspiration while I was there, and I'll be showing you all a new series I'm working on In a few posts :) for now, I hope you enjoy these shots!
As always, thanks for reading!
