With Me, Always
Hello my fellow wanderers.
The little one here, reporting again. I have new work to show you. This time from Morikami. Morikami is a Japanese museum and garden about an hour away from my house. If you have never visited, please make the time to do so. It's a beautiful, quiet place. There's a lot to see and explore. From the magical gardens, to koi, to bonsai, to a museum and even a little restaurant with some delicious sushi.
The last time I visited, I was in the company of my brother. This time however, I took the time to visit alone. I've been in need of some time alone. to explore, reconnect and ground myself. Being out in nature is always the cure for me. morikami is no exception, ever.
This particular set is very special to me. This year has been a year of soul searching, self exploration and growth. I owe the "new" me to the kindred spirits that have helped me come out of my shell. They've always been there for me, whether I was aware or not. I can't think of a better way to say thanks to my buddies, than dedicating this set to them.
I spent a lot of time working on these. I wanted them to really evoke the feeling I get when I'm out there, in my element. I don't just want you to see what I see....that's pointless. That's mere documentation. Everyone can see the same subject, its the feeling that makes the difference. I want others to feel what I feel while I'm out there. That's transcendance. That's all I ask for. I think I nailed it with this set, truly. The response has been overwhelming with this set. I'm so happy and grateful to read messages from people describing how they feel looking through this set. I am humbled, I am full of love.
If you're curious, you can listen to the same music that helps me navigate while I photograph. I listen to this Playlist for everything, but most importantly, it's the soundtrack I use when I'm shooting. you are more than welcome to use it for your own navigation: Tiny Praises
You can see the rest of this set on instagram (@fstopandstare) and on my Facebook page
Thanks for stopping by. I see you, and I appreciate you, whoever you are.
Take some light with you.
